Rawson Studio: Chic, Sustainable Favorites That Conrado Trusts
For the past three years, Rawson Studio has held a special place in our Martha’s Vineyard boutique, thanks largely to a shared passion: clean, minimalist design, and sustainability. Based in Chicago, this vintage-minded label has produced our best-selling Corsica Tank Tops and the beloved Berlin Tee. Both fan favorites at Conrado.
Spotlight on the Berlin Tee
RAWSONSTUDIO calls it the Berlin Tee because it was originally made in Germany, saved from obscurity as deadstock from the 1980s, and later garment-dyed in Los Angeles in 2023 using a non-toxic, low-impact, low-energy dyeing process. The runoff water goes through a three-step cleaning system before leaving the facility, making it a standout for eco-conscious shoppers.
Crafted from 100% cotton, the tee features a soft rib-knit scoop or crew neck, sturdy seams, and a relaxed, flattering fit (XS–S). Reviews from Etsy buyers adore its comfort and fit. One simply declared it “one of my all time favorites.”
The Appeal of Rawson’s Tank Tops
Rawson’s ribbed cotton tanks, the Siena, Corsica, and Verona styles, reflect the same ethos: deadstock materials, vintage aesthetics, and timeless design. The Siena Tank, for example, is a rib-knit, sleeveless undershirt in vintage white. These pieces layer beautifully and pair effortlessly with everything from high-rise denim to summer skirts.
The Illustrator Shirt: Your Studio Classic
If you adore the Berlin Tee and our ribbed tanks, wait until you feel the Illustrator Shirt. Think worn-in charm meets tailored ease, a relaxed button-up with the perfect drape, chest pocket, and vintage fade that make it feel like your favorite go-to piece from day one. It layers beautifully over a tank on chilly mornings or unbuttoned when the island sun sneaks back. Like all RAWSONSTUDIO items, it’s vintage, reclaimed, and reimagined.
Rooted in Chicago, Revered in Vineyard
While RAWSONSTUDIO operates out of Chicago and has been active on Etsy since around 2016, it’s garnered national acclaim. Vogue called Rawson a “prime location for anyone seeking out classic silhouettes… light and airy pieces,” and Who What Wear praised it as a top spot for vintage finds in the city. Their work isn’t just fashionable, it’s thoughtful!
