CAN YOU SHARE A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR PERSONAL BACKGROUND? 

I am from Quezon City and I’m 43 years old. I have been in the garment industry for 25 years.

WHAT IS YOUR JOB DESCRIPTION AT CONRADO?

I make sure to communicate production processes and changes for Conrado. I organize everything for a smooth production.

DESCRIBE A TYPICAL DAY IN YOUR LIFE.

I start my day by 7 am and end work by 5pm. I spend Sundays with my family.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE PART OF YOUR JOB?

My favorite part of my job is making sure I do everything right and in an organized way. I also like getting to make sure I get along with my coworkers by respecting each of them.

WHAT IS YOUR DREAM JOB?

I thought of being a teacher or nurse.

WHEN YOU AREN'T WORKING, WHAT SORT OF THINGS DO YOU ENJOY DOING?

I think of owning my own sari-sari store (convenient store)

HAS YOUR TIME WORKING AT CONRADO IMPACTED YOU AT ALL? 

Conrado has brought a big positive cause to my work life. I have learned and gained a lot of knowledge about different kinds of fabrics and new designs to different kinds of garments.

The Philippines is one of the places where there are so many different places and sceneries to see. I also want everyone to know how friendly and hospitable Filipinos are.

WHAT IS ONE THING YOU WOULD LIKE TO SAY TO THE WORLD?

I am from Ilocos Norte and moved to Manila in the 90s. I have been working in the garment industry for more than 20 years.

I handle sewing from sampling to production

I’m up and ready by 6am and relax by 7pm

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE PART OF YOUR JOB?

My favorite is when I’ve finished constructing a garment.

WHAT IS YOUR DREAM JOB?

My dream is to become a pilot.

WHEN YOU AREN'T WORKING, WHAT SORT OF THINGS DO YOU ENJOY DOING?

I enjoy planting rice in the rice fields.

Yes! I am gaining more knowledge and mastering my skills in creating clothes. I am happy when I get to construct different kinds of clothes.

I’m Cresencia. I’ve been working since 1975 until now.

WHAT IS YOUR JOB DESCRIPTION AT CONRADO?

I do quality control and cut out all fabrics.

DESCRIBE A TYPICAL DAY IN YOUR LIFE.

I like to start my work early so that I can first check the quality of the finish product.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE PART OF YOUR JOB?

I really enjoy quality control. I already know the defects and how to repair the garments.

WHAT IS YOUR DREAM JOB?

To be a teacher

WHEN YOU AREN'T WORKING, WHAT SORT OF THINGS DO YOU ENJOY DOING?

When I’m not working, I like to go to Pangasinan (province north of Manila) to visit my brother and sister.

It has been enjoyable and everyone feels like family to me

Love god above all things. I’m thankful to the Lord that I belong to this company because they are kind to me.

CAN YOU SHARE A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR PERSONAL BACKGROUND?

I started working for Angela’s mother as a sewer in 1981!

WHAT IS YOUR JOB DESCRIPTION AT CONRADO?

I work as a sewer at Conrado. Sometimes I supervise the production for the company.

DESCRIBE A TYPICAL DAY IN YOUR LIFE.

I start my work earlier than others. I do the sewing, cutting and sometimes I buy materials for our products.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE PART OF YOUR JOB?

I liked sewing ever since I was young, so that’s one of my most favorite part of the job. I like cutting too, it’s enjoyable to me!

WHAT IS YOUR DREAM JOB?

My dream is to do missionary work.

WHEN YOU AREN'T WORKING, WHAT SORT OF THINGS DO YOU ENJOY DOING?

When I’m not working, I like to go to my grandchildren and bond with them.

Aside from the income it has given me, my skills in sewing has improved a lot. Also the management and my coworkers have become like a family to me.
