There’s nothing like summer on Martha’s Vineyard — the energy, the sunshine, and that unmistakable salty breeze. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or an island regular, here’s our Conrado-curated guide to some of our favorite spots across MV. From breakfast lattes to lobster rolls, beach walks to farmer’s markets, here’s how we do summer right:
Oak Bluffs
Start your day at Aalia’s with an iced latte, matcha, and one of their amazing breakfast sandwiches. Sit out on the porch and enjoy some of the island’s best people-watching.
Grab a sandwhich from Mo’s Lunch before heading to State Beach for some sun and sand. It's one of the most accessible public beaches, perfect for relaxing in a beach chair and dipping into the soft waves.
Wrap up your night with a warm apple fritter from Backdoor Donuts. Trust us, it hits different after dinner or a night out.
Edgartown
Morning Glory Farm is a longtime favorite for fresh produce and baked goods. Pick up a snack before heading out for the day.
A quick trip to Chappy (Chappaquiddick) is always worth it. Make sure to stop by the peaceful Mytoi Japanese Garden for a quiet moment.
Craving a smoothie? Cozy Corner Cafe is one of Emily’s favorite spots. Great for a quick pick-me-up or coffee without heading all the way into town.
The Covington is a must for dinner once it reopens for the season. Everything on the menu is delicious, but we love the spicy cucumbers and mushroom ragu.
West Tisbury
7a Foods is a must for breakfast. The cheddar jalapeño biscuit sandwich is a crowd-pleaser and the coffee is topnotch.
Walk across the street to the Field Gallery and enjoy the whimsical sculpture park while you sip your drink.
For a scenic and easy hike, head to Cedar Tree Neck Sanctuary Trail. It ends at the water with incredible views.
Don’t miss the West Tisbury Farmer’s Market on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9 am to 12 pm. We always make our way to Ophelia’s for a sweet treat, Firecat Farm for a fresh bouquet, The Garden Farm for juicy tomatoes, and to catch up with so many familiar faces.
Chilmark
Beetlebung Farm’s stand is looking beautiful this season. Grab a loaf of freshly baked bread, some produce, and a box of Salt Rock Chocolate.
Go for a hike at the Brickyard to see the old brick chimney — a piece of island history dating back to the 1860s.
Head down to Menemsha for oysters and a lobster roll from Larsen’s, then top it off with a sprinkle-covered cone from The Galley.
Aquinnah
No visit to the island is complete without seeing the Gay Head Lighthouse and the stunning clay cliffs. The colors blending into the ocean are unreal.
Walk the Moshup Trail for an easy, beautiful trek to the beach.
Orange Peel Bakery is a gem for fresh pastries and in the summer, their Pizza Nights are a true community favorite.
For a special occasion, have dinner at Outermost Inn — the views are breathtaking and the experience is unforgettable.
Vineyard Haven
Start your morning with a coffee from Catboat Coffee, then grab falafel or chicken shawarma for a tasty lunch.
Stop by Bunch of Grapes to find the perfect beach read.
And of course, swing into the Conrado Big & Lil' Shop for your next outfit — sustainably made, thoughtfully designed, and guaranteed to get compliments.
We love this island and we love sharing it with you. Happy exploring — and if you spot us out and about, come say hi!
