Zapotec Bag
Description
We meet Oscar Perez on our trip to Oaxaca, Mexico. He's a fifth generation weaver and natural dyer in Teotitlan del Valle. He graciously welcomed us into his home/ studio and ran through the process. From getting the fiber, making it into yarn, naturally dying, and then to the loom. He had rugs, pillows, tapestries, and so much more that he had created!
We brought back a selection of small woven bags, perfect as a clutch or a make up bag.
Each bag is in different geomatics motifs used amongst the Zapotec weavers.
